Brewers beat Rays 3-2 in World Series Game 1

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-2 in Game 1 of the World Series, holding off a ninth-inning rally, AP reported.

With the bases loaded in the ninth, a replay review overturned an apparent game-ending double play and a run scored, MLB.com reported. Reliever Trevor Megill then struck out Jonny DeLuca to end the game.

Why it matters: Milwaukee leads the best-of-seven series 1-0.
