12 hurt, including six children, in shooting near Florida A&M

Eleven of the injured had gunshot wounds, and the youngest victim is 11, Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said, ABC News reported. Police said Sunday that six victims remained hospitalized, one in critical condition, and five had been released.

A preliminary investigation indicates a fight broke out before the shooting in a crowded area after a football game, CBS News and AP reported. No arrests had been announced, and police asked anyone with information or video to come forward.

Why it matters: The shooting struck a crowded homecoming weekend, and police say those responsible have not yet been identified.
